Now that the spring sports season has come to a close, it’s time to reveal the All-Coastal Preps teams. Over the next week, you will get to know more about the players of the year while also seeing who made first and second team in boys golf, boys tennis, boys and girls lacrosse, boys and girls track & field, girls soccer, softball, and baseball.

The Coastal Preps Softball Two-Way Player of the Year is freshman Pressley Wilson from West Brunswick.

Pressley’s Accomplishments

A youth movement is taking over Shallotte.

The talented freshman class is led by Pressley Wilson, who did it all to lead West Brunswick to a 17-8 record. It was the program’s first winning season since 2019.

Wilson went 12-8 in the circle with an impressive 1.31 ERA and 241 strikeouts with only 46 walks in 133 innings.

She recorded double-digit strikeouts on 14 occassions, including a season-high 16 in a 6-0 victory over South Brunswick on April 27.

At the plate, Wilson hit .296 (21-for-71) with seven doubles, one triple, five home runs, 20 RBI, and 14 runs scored. She belted a home run in each of her final three games, including both playoff contests.
