Noble 33, Roland-Grise 26

The Eagles increased their winning streak to 17 games by holding on for a season-opening road victory.

Noble (1-0) won its final two contests in the spring of 2021 before going a perfect 14-0 last season.

Whit Lamb led the Eagles with 11 points, while Brogden Earey added 10. Pres Toupes finished with eight. Noble scored 12 points in the second quarter to build an 18-8 lead.

Roland-Grise (0-1) got eight points from Nakula O’Connor and seven from Marshall Chalk.

Holly Shelter 41, Myrtle Grove 29

Caison Jones poured in 14 points to lead the Hurricanes.

Holly Shelter (1-0) also got eight points from Houston Oliver and seven from Jackson Lowe. Banks Kline and Mazi Pugh each finished with five.

Williston 66, Virgo 11

The Tigers cruised at home behind a game-high 14 points from Kam Witherspoon.

Eleven players reached the scoring column for Williston (1-0). Ja’Zir Wright-Mcghee chipped in 13 points, while Deandre Boney finished with 10. Like Madden added nine points.

No individual stats were provided for Virgo (0-1).

Trask 39, Murray 34

The Bears opened the season with a five-point home victory.

No individual stats were provided for Trask (1-0).

Aiden Locklear led the way for Murray (0-1) with 11 points. Parker Brown and Zamier Williams both finished with seven points a piece.

The Gators found the back of the net three times in the second half to secure a home victory in sloppy conditions.

Mckenna Joyner scored twice and Brielle Archer had the other goal. Myrtle Grove (1-0) goalkeeper Anna Kiglics made three saves to earn the clean sheet.

Holly Shelter fell to 0-1 with the loss.
