2024 Girls Tennis Co-Player of the Year: Hanna Davis

Now that the most of the fall sports season has come to a close, it’s time to reveal the All-Coastal Preps teams. Over the next week, you will get to know more about the players of the year while also seeing who made first and second team in girls tennis, girls golf, boys and girls cross country, boys soccer and volleyball.

The Coastal Preps Girls Tennis Co-Player of the Year is senior Hanna Davis from New Hanover.

Hanna’s Accomplishments

Hannah Davis concluded her illustrious career by claiming the NCHSAA 4A doubles championship with fellow senior Sophia Catino.

The 6-1, 6-4 victory against Agnes Shinn and Makayla Nofziger of Myers Park gave the duo the first state title in program history. They didn’t drop a set at the Mideastern Conference Tournament, 4A East Regional or 4A State Championship.

Davis went 20-2 in doubles and a perfect 14-0 in singles. Of the 28 singles sets she won, 19 came by a score of 6-0. 

Over the course of her career, Davis went 69-3 in singles and 64-6 in doubles.

She will continue her playing career at Sewanee (Tenn.).
