Maksym McCabe found the back of the net twice and dished out an assist for the victorious Falcons. 

Murray’s other goals were scored by Turner Crumbley and Cole Foland.

Eli Garcia and Brewer Marhold both handed out one assist, while goalkeeper Matty Loughanne earned the clean sheet.

Noble 2, Roland-Grise 0

Played Wednesday

Goals from Cayden Ciliniski and Brennan Davis lifted the Eagles to a season-opening road win.  

The assists went to Gabe Maselli and Max Welker. Goalkeeper Taj Hawks made five saves to preserve the shutout. 

Holly Shelter 6, Myrtle Grove 1

Played Wednesday

The Hurricanes had no trouble opening their season with a victory on the road. 

No individual stats were provided for Holly Shelter. 

Myrtle Grove’s goal came from Julian Macias.

Myrtle Grove 1, Williston 0

Played Thursday

A second-half goal from Jose Barrientos proved to be the difference as the Gators prevailed in a hard-fought match. 

The Myrtle Grove (1-1) defense was led by AJ Giacolone, Mason Sisco, Will Young, Weston Clark and goalkeeper Josiah Rodriguez.

Williston (0-1) got four shots a piece from Marcos Perez Palomo and Azael Ortiz Parada. Goalkeeper Axel Navas Morales made two saves and had multiple clearances. 

Noble 2, Trask 0

Played Thursday

Goalkeeper Taj Hawks stopped all three shots he faced to earn his second clean sheet of the week. 

Noble’s (2-0) goals were scored by Cayden Cilinski and Max Welker. Smith Reynolds handed out one assist.  

With the loss, Trask fell to 0-2.

A physical game that featured 42 fouls and 40 free throws went to the Bears, who scored 13 points over the final six minutes. 

Makayla Kelly led all players with 12 points. Trask also got seven points from Karol Garcia Zargoza as well as six from Cyra Cibbin.

Garcia Zargoza connected on two 3-pointers, while Kelly made one. 

Murray’s top performance came from Malia Mehling, who hit a pair of 3-pointers en route to her eight points. The Falcons missed all 17 of their free throw attempts. 

Noble 35, Roland-Grise 14

Played Wednesday

The defending county champions opened their season with a road win thanks to a 16-2 run in the third quarter. 

Stella Pepper finished with a game-high 14 points. Noble, which led 11-8 at halftime, also got nine points from Charlie Vogt as well as eight from Julia Pepper. 

Leading the way for Roland-Grise was Phoebe Asoegwu, who scored all four of her points in the fourth quarter.

Holly Shelter 26, Myrtle Grove 11

Played Wednesday

Sienna Burghardt and Maylyn Pittman both scored seven points, and the Hurricanes prevailed in their first game of the season. 

Noble 38, Trask 30

Played Thursday

Charlie Vogt exploded for 14 points to guide the Eagles to their second victory of the week. 

The game was tied in the fourth quarter before Noble (2-0) was able to force some key turnovers and convert free throws. 

Macy Barnhill and Julia Pepper added seven points a piece. Campbell Johnson also had a strong performance with six points.

Roland-Grise 15, Holly Shelter 14

Played Thursday

The Knights picked up a hard-fought victory to even their record at 1-1. 

Phoebe Asoegwu led Roland-Grise with five points.

Holly Shelter (1-1) got a game-high 10 points from Sienna Burghardt as well as 13 steals from Presley Ormsby.

Murray 49, Virgo 3

Played Thursday

Malia Mehling and Jasmine Hill Manning tied for a game-high with eight points, and the Falcons had no trouble on their home court. 

Savannah Cremer added six points and Olivia Hester scored five for Murray (1-1).
